Leading teams and organisations is hard.

Even in organisations with talented, intelligent individuals, it is a real challenge to build strong and healthy teams. Plans and strategies can quickly become lost amidst confusion, low engagement, politics, and disillusionment.

How can we build genuine connection and trust when we are all wired so differently from each other?

How can we engage in healthy conflict and debate?

How can we develop healthy, robust relationships between individuals, teams and stakeholders?

And how can we ensure we're doing some of the best work of our lives — and making the world a better place?

Coaching for Your Team

We will partner with you to develop and deliver a customised series of individual and team coaching sessions, and help your team to make the world a better place.

Together, we'll shape and build a strong and healthy organisation, where people know their strengths, where leaders are continuing to grow and develop, where teams become strong and cohesive, and every person in the organisation is clear on why you do what you do… and how you're going to do it.

Getting Started

Our ideal process to begin partnering with you and your team:

One. Understanding

Initial Consultation.

Before deciding on the best approach for your team, we want to understand your context, your experience and what you want to achieve. We recommend meeting with key leaders and decision makers as a first step to planning our work together. We can do this on the phone, by video conference or face-to-face.

Two. Scoping and Assessing

Conversations and Assessments.

We have a range of tools and processes available to help us get clear on the current reality of your leaders, your team and your key stakeholders. These can include individual CliftonStrengths Assessments, Leadership Circle 360 Assessments, Team Health Assessments and Stakeholder Interviews as well as formal and informal meetings and conversations.

Three. Team Coaching

Coaching and Consultation.

Once we have spent time understanding, scoping and assessing we will work closely with team leaders and team members to co-design our team coaching work together. While each team coaching process is unique, we typically work with teams for 9 to 12 months through a combination of individual and team coaching sessions.

At lifeincolour we love helping teams, businesses and organisations thrive and flourish, so they can truly make their fullest and most meaningful contribution to the world.

A Typical Team Coaching Pathway

The design of our work is different for each team we partner with. Typically we work with a team for 9 to 12 months, through a combination of regular team coaching workshops and individual leadership coaching conversations.

Our work often builds on these kinds of topics:

Understanding Our Purpose

  • Why do we exist as a team or organisation?
  • Who are we in service of?
  • Who are our key stakeholders and what do they depend on us to do?

Building a Cohesive Leadership Team

Cohesive teams eliminate politics and increase effectiveness by…

  • Creating value together as a team (rather than operating as a group of individuals)
  • Building trust, respect and genuine connection between each team member
  • Engaging in constructive ideological conflict
  • Committing to clear decisions
  • Holding one another accountable for behaviours and performance
  • Focusing on collective results not just individual goals and outcomes

Creating Clarity

Healthy organisations minimise the potential for confusion by clarifying…

  • How do we behave as a team?
  • How do we leverage our unique strengths?
  • What are our key strategic priorities in this season?
  • What is most important, right now for our team and our stakeholders?

Connecting with Stakeholders

No team or organisation exists in isolation. How do we invest in strong, healthy relationships with all the groups who depend on us — boards, direct reports, customers and community partners.

Continual Growth and Learning

In a world of rapid and accelerating change and increasing complexity, if we are not growing and learning, as individuals and as a team, we're falling behind.

  • How do we keep learning and growing in all aspects of our lives and our leadership?
  • How do we support each other to put new learning into practice?
  • How do we invest in the growth and development of colleagues, and direct reports?
  • How do we leverage the best of contemporary psychology and adult development theory to assist our learning together?

What Teams Are Saying

Working with Andy Goodacre and Lifeincolour has been a transformative experience for our leadership teams at City Mission. Through CliftonStrengths coaching and team development sessions, Andy has helped us build deeper trust, improve cohesion, and become more effective team players. His facilitation has supported us in conducting meaningful after-action reviews, identifying what is most important, and aligning our energy and focus accordingly.

Lifeincolour’s team coaching has had a significant impact at Petuna Freshwater Operations. It’s helped us understand each other’s strengths, which has led to better communication, greater empathy, and a stronger sense of teamwork. Through the coaching, we’ve also established practical and effective tools that support fluid communication and help us maintain a strong operational rhythm. As a result, we collaborate more effectively and have built a more unified, supportive team environment.
